By the mid-19th century New Orleans had come into it's own, European and northern businesses had begun to invest in the port city and an influx of immigrants had created a thriving economy. But, an invisible threat lingered and when it surfaced a horrifying question was revealed. Just how far would the city go to hide an epidemic?
The War on Veterans
Starving veterans and their families turned to the government when the Great Depression cost them their livelihoods and homes. They requested their bonus from the Federal government so they could provide for their families. But, the request came to a sudden and violent end. An exploration into the man FDR called the Second Most Dangerous Man in America.
